A very long time ago (at least a year!),
marnanel asked me what zie could do for me to make me happy and I asked zir for a story, because zie tells the most wonderful, lilting, whimsical stories. Many months passed and the request passed to the back of my mind, but little did I know that plans were brewing. Today when I met up with Marn (and Fin and Katie and Alex and Rio) in the parking lot of the Barnes&Noble, so that we could go to climb a mountain..zie handed me a book with a bright orange cover and told me that it was my birthday gift. The title was 'Not Ordinarily Borrowable: or, Unwelcome Advice' and it was the story that zie'd written for me..all made into a real book, which you can buy on Amazon by clicking this rather large link I'm making (and you should, because it is a wonderful story about a young woman who finds strength and friendship and a recipe for the best cake in the world while questing for a dragon).I am blessed and surrounded by gifted people who are full to bursting with creativity of spirit and have now had a rather weird and lifelong wish fulfilled of having a dedication page in a book dedicated..well, to me. :)
